"In the Shadow of The Cross" . . .
Picture
We believe first and foremost all gods were created by man except the one true God who created man and that God is a God of love.  We believe in His omnipotence, omnipresence and omniscience.  We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired word of God, infallible and the final authority in all matters.  The sixty-six books of the Protestant Cannon contain God's written revelation.

We believe God eternally exist in three persons, The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit.  Together they dwell in tri-unity.  We believe that God the Father created the heavens and the earth and is the giver of all life.

We believe that Jesus Christ the Son was begotten of the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.  And while still fully God chose to simultaneously become fully man.  His incarnation perpetuated our salvation and reconciliation to the Father.  His death on the cross was the ransom for our sin.  His resurrection established proof that he is indeed God the Son, who conquered death once and for all and by his power has proclaimed our sins forgiven.  We believe that Jesus ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of God the Father until the appointed time of His return.

We believe in the Holy Spirit who proceeds from the Father and the Son. It is by the power of the Holy Spirit that we are regenerated and justified by Christ. The Holy Spirit dwells within us and works in our lives to conform us to Christ.

We were created in the image of God, but the sins of our first parents (Adam & Eve) has brought spiritual separation and rendered us powerless to save ourselves.

It is only through God's gracious provision to us whereby we can be in a right relationship with God.  This covenant of grace was sealed with the blood of Christ.  It is by Christ's finished work upon the cross that God has forgiven us our sins, declared us righteous, and given us the right to be his adopted children.

We believe that works are the fruit of salvation and not the seed of salvation.  It is by grace we are saved through faith.  We believe that those whom Christ has saved are His Universal Church, whose goal it is to glorify God by proclaiming and demonstrating the lordship of Christ.  Christ has given his Church the gifts of baptism and the Lord's Supper as signs of his abiding grace to strengthen us in our faith as we live in his called-out community.

We look forward to Christ's second coming when he will raise the dead, judge the world, and consummate his kingdom in the new heavens and the new earth. It is then that we will dwell as whole people in salvation and in the glory of God forever.
