John Swanger
Born near Nashville, raised in Dallas, through
poverty, foster homes and a life of crime and drugs that
led to the Federal Penitentiary, John Swanger has a
miraculous testimony to share with the world.
During his four years in prison, John taught himself
the guitar and, after his release, he went on to form and
lead "Sweetwater Texas," one of the most successful
country rock bands in western Canada. However, after
four and a half years on the road, this, like all things not
planted of the Lord, came to an end.
Shortly thereafter, while living in Tulsa, John came
to know the Lord. Since then, John has been sharing
the Testimony of his salvation through his anointed
song writing; the sincerity of his voice and his unique
style of guitar playing.
While John's songs continually inspire the Body of
Christ, they also have a remarkable way of piercing the
hearts of the unsaved.
With hints of folk, western and an occasional touch
of bluegrass, John's roots are definitely in country music.
So, call it "Country Rock Gospel" or whatever you wish,
John's music always proclaims the good works of the
Lord Jesus Christ.
John currently lives in Denver with his, where he continues to
serve the Lord through. . .
